T-tick: The T-tick mark is a type test certification mark from Quality Assurance Services. It has been accepted by the New South Wales electrical safety regulator (Department of Energy) as a valid certification and marking for declared articles (those requiring approval of the regulator). QAS is an independent branch of Standards Australia.

The use of the T-tick or type test mark by QAS, is apparently being or has been phased out.

Electrical safety certification where it is mandatory is carried out by the electrical safety regulators in each state. The electrical safety regulators require an alpha numeric marking e.g. N0000. Also see RCM below.
